Can't come out tomorrow and not show up for the first period and have a chance at winning. The Pens are running hotter than the Sun right now, 40 minute efforts aren't gonna cut it.

The key thing is, though, to keep picking up points. Even against the Bruins, they battled back and got that important point. As nice as it would be to finish atop the-division-and likely the conference by winning the Atlantic-more important is to simply keep momentum by getting points in every game.

Any word on who will be in net for the Flyers? The Penguins offense has been clicking lately but Bryzgalov's play has been just as impressive. He seems like the only guy who could come out and only allow 1 or 2 out of 40-45 shots. Should as always he a good one and both teams are on the end of a 3 in 4. So no whining about that from either side.

A three-point weekend would be a success. If they can somehow do it in regulation, they will have picked up a point this week on Pittsburgh. Even if it's via OT or (gasp) SO, the weekend is a wash in terms of trying to close the gap in the standings but it will be a huge confidence booster for the rest of the stretch run.

I like what I am hearing from the interviews with respect to their wanting to challenge the Penguins streak- hopefully it isn't just talk and they will come out like they did against Detroit.
I am not sure the Coby-Grossmann pairing is working; didn't Grossmann play with Carle when he first arrived? It sure would be worth a try to put Kimmo and Coby back together and try Gman and Carle.

Did anyone expect kubina to be out this long? The way it's dragged on with very little info leads to believe its concussion related. Anyone hear what his deal is?

that's my playoff nightmare. although i think they could recall walker - not sure there's a waiver issue in the playoffs (or maybe there is).

all of a sudden we have no kubina, meszaros, and lilja. at the worst time of the year. and what's worse, is we're hearing nothing about what the injuries are or how long. the mystery is pissing me off.

agreed with both points. would be nice more than anything for them to break this horrendous afternoon trend and beat a top team, an arch rival, currently the hottest team in the league, on national tv to boot. i will lose it if they don't show up and get steam rolled.

i said it yesterday, and i'm saying it now, no talbot and lilja is going to hurt them today.

There is a waiver issue, but no team would claim him because he'd be ineligible to play for them in playoffs. All it would do is screw with the Flyers' cap moving forward and put half of Walker's cap hit on another team's shoulders next year.

Unless he's had a setback, I don't think Kubina is too far from coming back. Meszaros is a concern. Lilja's injury yesterday was a scary one.

Got awesome tickets to today's game, hoping to get there early and see the warm ups. They'd better get up from the get go.

I'm bummed at the start time. The service I'm singing likely won't be over 'til 12:15. At least it's next to the El stop. (Or do I blow $20 on a cab down 95?)

If this team comes out flat again...TODAY, against THIS team, heads need to roll.

But how does Lavi do that?

Discuss.

I guess the question you have to ask yourself is, do you feel lucky?..........

........enough to make it in time, or is it worth the $20?

Do you pay the $20 and risk showing up BEFORE the Flyers?

Exactly how I'm viewing it. Of course a regulation win is preferred, but even an OT win works for me.

Talbot getting slammed on his shoulder by that tomato can Boychuk. What's the injury a separated shoulder?

I can't wait to see Shelley get his hands on Engelland today, it will be epic. Give the team a big boost.

A loss today and it will be 10 in a row vs. the Rags (0-5), Bruins (0-1-2), and Pigeons (0-1).

Hard to take a team serious if they are beaten like a drum by the three teams that stand in their way.
